Wood Decking
This is going to be a very "typical" 4m x 4m wood decking installation. First I want to take you through the process we use to install your new Deck. We first insert 100mm x 100mm posts into the ground and these are cemented in to give a real strong anchoring for the timber frame to be fixed to, once the posts are in and have had time to set we will then install the outer timber frame, from this we will install a single or double layer of weed suppression membrane (dependant on the ground that we are constructing the deck on) once the outer frame has been built an d the weed membrane down, we will install the inner frame "noggining" out, so that the spaces left are no more than 600mm x 600mm (approx). We are now ready to install the decking boards, these will be installed with 8/10mm gaps and laid in a horizontal orientation to the way that you enter the Deck to minimise (but not remove) slip hazards, Your Deck is now complete.

So for this example we will require the following -

16 100mm x 100mm x 1.2m Posts
19 100mm x 47mm x 4.2m Joists
32 Bags of Postfix
16m2 of Weed Membrane
32 32mm Thick 120mm Wide 4.2m Long Decking Boards
Assorted Screws
This would all add up to £4020
